Courtesy: Northrop Grumman The radar is designed to enable F-35 pilots to effectively engage air and ground targets at long range, while also providing outstanding situational awareness for enhanced survivability. In addition to providing the radar, Northrop Grumman's Electronic Systems sector is providing the AN/AAS-37 electro-optical Distributed Aperture System for the F-35. The system will provide F-35 pilots with a unique protective sphere around the aircraft for missile warning, navigation support and night operations. Reliability APG-81 radaraesa's solid-state technology and elimination of mechanical moving parts will enable the radar to far surpass current standards for systems reliability. The radar system also features a "replaceable assemblies" design for faster, easier repairs or upgrades to hardware and software modules. For these reasons, AESA life-cycle costs are expected to be significantly lower than those of msas. The active arrays on the F-35 should have almost twice the expected life of the airframe.

Courtesy: Northrop Grumman Northrop Grumman has developed the only 360 degree, spherical situational awareness system in the electro-optical distributed aperture system (DAS). The DAS surrounds the aircraft with a protective sphere of situational awareness. It warns the pilot of incoming aircraft and missile threats as well as providing day/night vision, fire control capability and precision tracking of wingmen/friendly aircraft for tactical maneuvering. Designated the AN/AAQ-37, and comprising six electro-optical sensors, the full EO DAS will enhance the F-35's survivability and operational effectiveness by warning the pilot of incoming aircraft and missile threats, providing day/night vision and supporting the navigation function of the F-35's forward-looking infrared sensor. The DAS provides: * Missile detection and tracking * Launch point detection * Situational awareness IRST & cueing * Weapons support * Day/night navigation In addition to developing the EO DAS, Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems is supplying the F-35's AN/APG-81 advanced electronically scanned array (AESA) fire-control radar. The AESA radar is designed to enable the pilot to effectively engage air and ground targets at long range, while also providing outstanding situational awareness.

OK chaps Private Mumra is here reporting in for duty, SIR! My team mates kept telling me to "stay back" and defend n'such. But all to often I find this is the tactic across the entire team when defending and IMO works up to a point. When I play RES these days, I've noticed that Im only useful when Im in an attacking frame of mind. You got to remember that I can't wall-shoot to save my life :( As with anything in MGO I live what I preach. I always tell people in my team when they ask me for playing style advice, "Play to your strengths. Do what you best feel comfortable in doing". For each individual the answer to this is different. ie There's no point in me telling you to be a 'sniper' for a game when you've never touched one xd So by the same token, camping back in a position where the enemy expects me to be often doesn't yield the best out of me, especially since I'm the biggest noob on MGO :( In this game I attempt to play "to my strengths", being Mum-ja (Mumra + Ninja, in a blender) 2:50 I get tired of waiting for the enemy. It's what THEY WANT. So I decide now's as good a day as any to try some heroics. 3:40 Hmmm, should I use the mortar? HELL YES. Scratch one Gerry. 5:08 I was scared the enemy was alerted to my position and was planing to take me out. But by this point thought to hell with it. Go at 'em! 5:43 only two left and I spot the sneaky Gerry hoping over the boxes to grab the target. I thought my team mates had it covered and ran back to the motar to provide ...

Born John Dee Abohosh in Dallas on February 6, 1936, he was later adopted by his stepfather and given the new surname Fairecloth. While growing up in southern California, he studied under the same vocal coach who previously instructed Eddie Fisher, and in high school made his professional debut on a classical music showcase broadcast by Ventura-based station KBCC. After graduating from high school, Fairecloth earned his living singing at local clubs, fairs, and weddings, embracing rock & roll and in 1957 signing to local indie Fable Records to cut his debut single, "You Gotta Walk the Line," credited to Johnny Faire. While cutting demos for the Surf label, he learned that contractual obligations were forcing friend and mentor Dorsey Burnette to abandon a completed track dubbed "Bertha Lou." Surf agreed to erase Burnette's vocal and insert Faire's performance instead, and while the resulting 1958 single earned scant attention on its original release, it is now revered as a lost classic of the rockabilly era. From there Faire adopted the alias Johnny Jordan long enough to ...
